As a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Dr. Chris is considered to be in the top 6% of general dentists in the country. It signifies his dedication to his patients and clinical skills. Dr. Chris continually strives for excellence which is why he has maintained more than FIVE times the annual continuing education requirements, or more than 150 hours each year!
Dr. Chris continued his postgraduate education at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, WA. Dentists from all over the world come to the Kois Center to learn about the latest advances in esthetic, implant, and restorative dentistry. As a Kois graduate, Dr. Chris strives to provide the highest level of care for his patients using the latest evidence-based protocols for all procedures.
Dr. Chris Kim is proud to be the recipient of a prestigious Fellowship award presented by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). As an award recipient, Dr. Chris is now recognized as a highly-qualified and well-recognized implant dentist. His skills make Livewell Dental among the top implant dental practices in Northern Virginia.
After graduating from UCSF School of Dentistry, one of the most prestigious dental schools in the country, Dr. Chris completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UCSF.
While dedicated to dentistry, Dr. Chris enjoys various activities outside of the office that keep him busy. He has been an avid skier since learning to walk, and he enjoys expressing his culinary creativity in the kitchen at home. Dr. Chris’s love for the outdoors has taken him on many adventures, from trekking the four-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, to close encounters with a sleuth of black bears during backpacking trips across Yosemite in California. Dr. Chris and his kindergarten sweetheart wife, Sara, spend as much time as they can with their miniature Goldendoodle, Kona.

I was born and raised in El Salvador and have been living in the beautiful Lorton area since 2010. I am a huge fútbol fan (Hala Madrid!), love traveling and enjoy being outdoors/staying active. Welcoming and assisting patients is something I'm truly passionate about. Working along Dr. Chris and the Livewell Dental team is an incredible experience, we share the same vision and passion for providing genuine care and support to our patients. Hello! I’m a dental assistant with a passion for the hands-on and creative aspects of dentistry. I love being part of a team that helps patients feel confident in their smiles while making their dental experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
I enjoy traveling to see my favorite groups perform—BTS, Tomorrow X Together, and Seventeen. Experiencing their concerts in different places combines my love for music and adventure! At home, I spend my time with my loyal companion, Rambo—my amazing dog who keeps life exciting. I also have a deep love for traveling in general and hope to explore as much of the world as possible, experiencing new cultures and making unforgettable memories along the way.

Hello! My name is Summer and I was born and raised in Northern VA with my parents and 4 siblings. I completed my Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University and my Master’s degree from Georgetown University. Being active and working out is something I really enjoy doing! I love being outdoors and doing activities such as hiking, swimming, and beach volleyball. I am always baking and trying new recipes and perfecting them. Working at Livewell Dental with Dr. Chris and the team has been an amazing experience! Having the opportunity to interact with all the patients that come to the practice is rewarding. I enjoy meeting new people and helping them feel at ease during their visits. It’s rewarding to be a part of a team that helps people maintain healthy, beautiful smiles!
Hi, my name is Kona, and I am the office mascot! Although you won’t see me during business hours, I work off-hours to make sure every office corner is sparkly clean! To look a part of being the mascot of a dental office, I brush my teeth daily and stay away from sweets. It’s ruff! When I am not busy working, I like to play fetch or take a stroll around Old Town Alexandria with my loving pawrents.
